The Adventures of Tintin (2011)

Having bought a model ship,the Unicorn,for a pound off a market stall Tintin is initially puzzled that the sinister Mr. Sakharine should be so eager to buy it from him,resorting to murder and kidnapping Tintin - accompanied by his marvellous dog Snowy - to join him and his gang as they sail to Morocco on an old cargo ship.

Sakharine has bribed the crew to revolt against the ship's master,drunken Captain Haddock,but Tintin,Snowy and Haddock escape,arriving in Morocco at the court of a sheikh,who also has a model of the Unicorn. Haddock tells Tintin that over three hundred years earlier his ancestor Sir Francis Haddock was forced to scuttle the original Unicorn when attacked by a piratical forebear of Sakharine but he managed to save his treasure and provide clues to its location in three separate scrolls,all of which were secreted in models of the Unicorn. Tintin and Sakharine have one each and the villain intends to use the glass-shattering top Cs of operatic soprano the Milanese Nightingale to secure the third. With aid from bumbling Interpol agents the Thompson Twins our boy hero,his dog and the captain must prevent Sakharine from obtaining all three scrolls to fulfil the prophesy that only the last of the Haddocks can discover the treasure's whereabouts.

He is able to locate and identify him as Francois Pignon, a Valet, pays him handsomely to enact this charade, and as a result Francois and Elena move in to live in small apartment. Chaos results when Christine hires a private eye to spy on Elena, and Pignon juggles his life between the woman he adores, Emilie; this charade; his attraction towards Elena herself; an overly inquisitive friend, Richard; while a suspicious Pierre, afraid of losing Elena to Pignon, recruits a male to spy on the couple! In an attempt to salvage his marriage, he tries to convince his wife that Elena is not his lover, but that of François Pignon, a valet who was passing by and ended up on the photograph. To make his story believable, Levasseur then has to convince Pignon and Elena to move in together and to pretend to be a couple. Things get more complicated when this creates tensions between Pignon and his former flatmate Richard and his love interest Émilie, and when Levasseur's wife discovers the truth and decides to play games with her husband.

Per sfuggire ai nazisti che stanno arrivando, la comunità ebraica di un piccolo villaggio decide di fuggire organizzando un......finto treno di deportati ! Attraverseranno così l'Europa ed il confine russo, per arrivare in Palestina. Alcuni saranno travestiti da ufficiali nazisti, per confondere i nazisti veri. Il viaggio si fa avventuroso e grottesco. Alla fine.......... Naturalmente non sveliamo il finale di questo GRANDE PICCOLO film. Generalmente, non si dovrebbe usare l'aggettivo "bello" per giudicare un'opera d'arte, perchè non si spiegherebbero le scelte estetiche, tecniche, artistiche che si è dati, ma si esprimerebbe l'emozione ricevuta. Per quest'opera, però, lasciateci disgredire : TRAIN DE VIE è il film più bello della stagione 1998/99. E' divertente (e si ride di gusto), intelligente (e si riflette parecchio), poetico, delicato, girato bene ed interpretato meglio. I personaggi ci restano in mente e le situazioni comiche fanno pensare a Chaplin, ai fratelli Marx, al migliore Mel Brooks. Senza dimenticare la poetica del migliore cinema europeo. E' un film grottesco, che irride la stupidità e la assurdità delle guerre e delle intolleranze. E' un film sulla vita e sulla possibilità della convivenza pacifica (l'incontro fra gli ebrei e gli zingari è delirante ed emozionante).

At least that's what they think, until that morning on July 16th 1942, when their fragile happiness is toppled over. From the Vélodrome D'Hiver, where 13 000 Jews are crammed, to the camp of Beaune-La-Rolande, from Vichy to the terrace of the Berghof, La Rafle follows the real destinies of the victims and the executioners. Of those who orchestrated it all. Of those who trusted them. Of those who fled. Of those who opposed them. Every character in this film has existed. Every event, even the most extreme, transpired on that summer of 1942.
